Chris Henry was a professional football wide receiver who appeared in the National Football League for five seasons. Born on May 17, 1983 in Belle Chase, Louisiana, he attended Belle Chase High School where he became an offensive player in football and went to West Virginia University. In college, he was named as the Freshman of the Year in the Big East Conference for posting 41 passes for 1006 yards and scoring 10 touchdowns. He entered the National Football League after being selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2005 NFL Draft. He was the 83rd pick in the third round of the said draft. He wore jersey number 15 and played as wide receiver for the Bengal from the 2005 to the 2009 seasons. In his first year with the Bengals, he recorded six touchdowns and made 31 receptions for 422 yards. He was listed at 6 ft. 4 in. and 200 lbs. weight.
He played for the Cincinnati Bengals for his entire professional career and last appeared in the National Football League in 2009. In 2001, he was awarded the Small Schools Offensive Player of the Year and he also bagged the Metro Offensive Most Valuable Player in 2001. He had a career record of 119 receptions and 1, 926 receiving yards. He had 21 receiving TDs. Chris Henry died on December 17, 2009 at the age of 26 years old.
