Chris Gamble is a professional football player and is presently playing for the Carolina Panthers. He is a cornerback although he played as a wide receiver while attending Ohio University. Gamble has been playing in the National Football League starting 2004. Gamble attended Dillard High School and was named into the First-team All-Florida and All-Broward County. He was able to lead his team into the state championships.
Gamble entered Ohio State University where he played college football wide receiver during his first year but was later converted into a cornerback during his sophomore year. He made his move to professional football after he was selected by the Carolina Panthers during the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. Gamble was the 28th overall pick. During his first year in the NFL, he was able to start in all games, a first in the history of Carolina Panthers. By the end of that season, he was third in the ranking for NFL interceptions. In the following season, he was the fourth in the same ranking.
After signing a $53 million, six-year contract with the Panthers, Gamble is one of the highest paid defensive backs in the NFL.
