Chet Nichols (full name: Chester Raymond Nichols Jr.; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1951 until 1964 for the Boston Braves, Milwaukee Braves, Boston Red Sox and Cincinnati Reds. He played for the Braves in 1951, Braves from 1954 - 1956, Red Sox from 1960 - 1963 and Reds in 1964. Over 9 seasons, he started 71 games, won 34 games, struck out 266 batters, and had a 3.64 ERA. Born on February 22, 1931 in Pawtucket, RI, Nichols stood 6' 1" and weighed 165 lb. He attended East (Pawtucket, RI) high school.
