About Channing Frye Memorabilia & Collectibles
The rookie of the month for November 2005,
Channing Frye is an American National Basketball Association player of the New York Knicks. He was born on May 17, 1983 in White Plains, New York. Frye’s positions in his games are center and power forward.
This 6’11” tall player had studied in the University of Arizona. When he was in high school, he studied at the Hendrix Junior High School and later at the St. Mary’s Prep School in Phoenix, Arizona where he became an all-state and all-metro area player. He had spent a full four seasons at the University of Arizona in 2001 and ended in 2005. He was also a powerful integral part of the Arizona team which went to the Elite Eight during the 2005 NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Championship but unfortunately was defeated by Illinois.
Frye is said to be among the best rookies from 2005 NBA Draft who consistently ranked high in the NBA Rookie Rankings. He sprained his left knee ligament in a game against the Toronto Raptors. What happened was that Andre Barrett the Raptor guard lost his balance and he smashed his shoulder into Frye’s knee. With that incident, Frye had missed the rest of the 2005 to 2006 NBA season. Frye was then chosen to the 2005-2006 T-Mobile NBA All-Rookie First Team where he accomplished 5th in points 45 points in that manner which has a slight difference from Chris Paul with 58, Charlie Villanueva with 56, Andrew Bogut with 55, and Deron Williams with 46.
