Cesar Tovar (full name: Cesar Leonardo Tovar; Pepito) played outfielder, third baseman and second baseman from 1965 until 1976 for the Minnesota Twins, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees. He played for the Twins from 1965 - 1972, Phillies in 1973, Rangers from 1974 - 1975, Athletics from 1975 - 1976 and Yankees in 1976. Over 12 seasons, he played 1488 games, hit 46 home runs, drove in 834 runs, and stole 226 bases. Born on July 3, 1940 in Caracas, Distrito Federal, Venezuela, Tovar stood 5' 9" and weighed 155 lb. He attended Roosevelt (Roosevelt, VE) high school. His debut was on April 12, 1965 and he played his final game on September 29, 1976. Over his career, Tovar made $316,500.
