 Cedric Henderson is a professional basketball player who has appeared in the National Basketball Association. After leaving the NBA, Henderson has played for a number of foreign leagues. Henderson was born in Memphis, Tennessee and attended the University of Memphis from 1994 to 1997. While playing in his high school basketball team, Henderson named as a 1993 McDonald’s All-American.

 

During his first season of playing college basketball, Henderson was able to play in a total of 28 games. Henderson was also able to come up with an accumulated 383 points for his freshman year. For that season, Henderson had a 13.7 average points per game stat. He was able to improve that figure considerably during his senior year in Memphis and was able to rake 497 points after appearing in a total of 31 games. For his senior year, Henderson had a 16.0 average points per game.

 

Eligible to join the 1997 NBA Draft, Henderson was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers during round two of the said draft. This made Henderson 1997’s 44th overall pick. During his first season in the NBA, Henderson was named into the second team of the NBA All-Rookie Game. He also led the league in the most number of games played during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
