Caroline Wozniacki is a professional tennis athlete who was born in Odense, Denmark. Before turning pro, Wozniacki has won several junior tournaments which include the2005 Orange Bowl tennis championship and the 2006 Wimbledon girls' singles tournament. Wozniacki turned pro on July 2005 where she made her debut on 19 July 2005 in the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour at Cincinnati's Western & Southern Financial Group Women's Open, where she lost in the first round to the top-seeded Patty Schnyder.
Wozniacki became the first seed at the junior girls' singles in the Australian Open In 2006 but lost the final match to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova of Russia. Wozniacki was then seeded second in the doubles tournament with Anna Tatishvili. However, their pair was defeated in the semifinals by the French-Italian pair of Alize Cornet and Corinna Dentoni.
Before Wimbledon, where she was given a wildcard, Wozniacki won the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament against Ashley Harkleroad in the finals. In 2007, Wozniacki acquired a wildcard for the Pacific Life Open main draw and made her Tier I-debut. At the Australian Open in 2008, Wozniacki defeated Gisela Dulko and Alyona Bondarenko only to lose in Round 16 to Ana Ivanovic. In 2010, Wozniacki was seeded third at the Wimbledon Championships where she defeated Tathiana Garbin, Chang Kai-chen and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.
