Carol Vadnais is a retired professional ice hockey player in the National Hockey League. He was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. During his entire seventeen-season career, Vadnais played as defenceman for numerous teams in the National Hockey League; the Montreal Canadiens, Oakland Seals, California Golden Seals, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils. Vadnais was listed at 6 ft. 1 in. and 190 lbs.
Before joining the National Hockey League, Vadnais became part of the junior hockey with the Montreal Junior Canadiens. Vadnais originally played as forward until his final year in junior hockey when he was placed in defence. In his first National Hockey League Training Camp, Vadnais made it to the Canadiens’ 1966-67 seasons lineup. He was, however, left unprotected in 1968 after which he was claimed by the Oakland Seals. In 1972, in an attempt to bolster their blue line for the coveted Stanley Cup, the Boston Bruins acquired Vadnais. This move by the Bruins proved to have paid off when the Stanley Cup was captured by Boston with the help of Vadnais.

Carol Vadnais (full name: Carol Vadnais; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1967 until 1983 for the Montreal Canadiens, Oakland Seals, California Golden Seals, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils. He played for the Canadies from 1967 - 1968, Seals from 1969 - 1970, Golden Seals from 1971 - 1972, Bruins from 1972 - 1976, Rangers from 1976 - 1982 and Devils in 1983. Over 17 seasons, he played 1087 games, scored 169 goals, and made 418 assists. Born in Montreal, Quebec on September 25, 1945, Vadnais stands 6-1 and weighs 185 lbs.
