Calle Johansson (full name: Calle Johansson; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1988 until 2004 for the Buffalo Sabres, Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs. He played for the Sabres from 1988 - 1989, Capitals from 1989 - 2003 and Leafs in 2004. Over 17 seasons, he played 1109 games, scored 119 goals, and made 416 assists. Born in Gothenburg, Sweden on February 14, 1967, Johansson stands 5-11 and weighs 203 lbs. He was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1st round (14th overall) of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. Johansson officially announced retirement on August 7, 2003.
