Buddy Kerr (full name: John Joseph Kerr; no nicknames) played shortstop from 1943 until 1951 for the New York Giants and Boston Braves. He played for the Giants from 1943 - 1949 and Braves from 1950 - 1951. Over 9 seasons, he played 1067 games, hit 31 home runs, drove in 378 runs, and stole 38 bases. Born on November 6, 1922 in Astoria, NY, Kerr stood 6' 2" and weighed 175 lb. He attended George Washington (New York, NY) high school.
