Bud Podbielan (full name: Clarence Anthony Podbielan; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1949 until 1959 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Redlegs and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Dodgers from 1949 - 1952, Reds from 1952 - 1955, Redlegs in 1957 and Indians in 1959. Over 9 seasons, he started 76 games, won 25 games, struck out 242 batters, and had a 4.49 ERA. Born on March 6, 1924 in Curlew, WA, Podbielan stood 6' 1" and weighed 170 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 25, 1949 and he played his final game on June 13, 1959.
