Bud Black (full name: William Carroll Black; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1952 until 1956 for the Detroit Tigers. He played for the Tigers from 1952 - 1956. Over 3 seasons, he started 5 games, won 2 games, struck out 14 batters, and had a 4.22 ERA. Born on July 9, 1932 in St. Louis, MO, Black stood 6' 3" and weighed 197 lb. He attended University City (University City, MO) high school. His debut was on September 13, 1952 and he played his final game on May 12, 1956. Common misspellings of his name include William Bud Carroll Black.
