Bucky Walters (full name: William Henry Walters; no nicknames) played pitcher and third baseman from 1932 until 1950 for the Boston Braves, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds. He played for the Braves from 1932 - 1950, Red Sox from 1933 - 1934, Phillies from 1934 - 1938 and Reds from 1938 - 1948. Over 19 seasons, he played 715 games, hit 23 home runs, drove in 227 runs, and stole 12 bases. Born on April 19, 1909 in Philadelphia, PA, Walters stood 6' 1" and weighed 180 lb. He attended Germantown (Germantown, PA) high school. His debut was on September 18, 1931 and he played his final game on July 23, 1950.
