Buck Jordan (full name: Baxter Byerly Jordan; no nicknames) played first baseman and third baseman from 1931 until 1938 for the Washington Senators, Boston Braves, Boston Bees, Cincinnati Reds and Philadelphia Phillies. He played for the Senators in 1931, Braves from 1932 - 1935, Bees from 1936 - 1937, Reds from 1937 - 1938 and Phillies in 1938. Over 10 seasons, he played 811 games, hit 17 home runs, drove in 396 runs, and stole 20 bases. Born on January 16, 1907 in Cooleemee, NC (All Transactions), Jordan stood 6' 0" and weighed 170 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 15, 1927 and he played his final game on October 2, 1938. Common misspellings of his name include Baxter Buck Byerly Jordan jorden.
