Brian Urlacher, the player of the Chicago Bears team, is the fifth person in the history of the NFL to win both the rookie defensive player of the year award and the defensive player of the year award as well.
During the 1980s, Brian Urlacher’s family broke up and he and his siblings were given to the care of his mother, Lavoyda. She then moved out with the children to another part of the country – Lovington, New Mexico and started afresh. While she worked hard to support the family, Brian Urlacher spent most of his free time in exercising. It was then that he found the interest in football and went on to play for the high school team. With his brute strength and speed, he helped the Lovington High School team, the Wild Cats to a 14-0 victory.
