Brian Lee Rolston plays professional ice hockey in the National Hockey League for the New Jersey Devils. He is from Flint, Michigan. He played college ice hockey at the Lake Superior State University where as a freshman helped his team bag the National Championship game and became the Most Outstanding Player.
Rolston started his professional career after being selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 1st round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He then joined the Colorado Avalanche and the Boston Bruins during which he achieved his career high in short- handed goals. In 2004, he joined the Minnesota Wild where he served as captain for several months. He is famous for having a strong 2- way ability and powerful shots. One game where he showed his tremendous power was in a game against the Anaheim Ducks and another against the Vancouver Canucks. He was then sent to the Tampa Bay Lightning but chose to be a free agent and return to the New Jersey Devils. Rolston has won a Stanley Cup with the Devils against the Detroit Red Wings and has been part of Team USA for the Olympic Games. He has played in a total of 1,121 NHL games, made 321 goals, 382 assists, and 703 points for regular season matches.
