Standing at 6'8 and weighing 235 lbs., Brian Ralph Quinnett, a retired small forward/shooting guard player for American professional basketball, started his career in basketball after his graduation from the Washington State University where the New York Knicks selected him for the second round or the 50th overall games in the 1989 National Basketball Association Draft.
Quinnett was born in Pullman, Washington on May 30, 1966. He attended high school in Cheney, Washington. Back in his college days in Washington State University, he played for the Washington State Cougars. For most of his career, he played with the New York Knicks although for three NBA seasons in 1991-92, the Knicks traded him with the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for center James Donaldson. Quinnett's best year as a professional basketball player was during the 1990-1991 season where he appeared in 68 games, averaging 4.7 ppg. Quinnett served the Washington State University as team captain of the basketball team for three years. He earned his Sports Psychology master's degree from the University of Idaho.
When he left the NBA, Quinnett played on brief stints and played for minor leagues such as the CBA, as well as Spain's CB Murcia.
