Son of a former National Football League great player, Brian Griese is an American football player of the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. Born on March 18, 1975 in Miami, Florida, USA, this son of Bob Griese of the Miami Dolphins became his partner in writing the book entitled Undefeated that was published in 2000. The book is all about their lives in the undefeated seasons.
Griese has studied at Columbus High School in Miami, Florida where he became a letterman in football, basketball, and golf. He bagged the All-State third team honors as a senior in playing football. He also played football at the University of Michigan in 1993-1997. He finished as the starter for the rest of the 1995 season. Griese remained as a starter in 1997 and led the Wolverines where he signed after his offense to an undefeated season and a part of the national championship. He was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the Rose Bowl where he went 18-30 for 251 yards and 3 touchdowns where they defeated Washington State University.
He was drafted by the Denver Broncos during the third round of the 1998 National Football League Draft. Griese started his professional career as a third string-backup to Bubby Brister and John Elway. Griese was then signed to the Miami Dolphins and to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And on March 2006, Griese decided to sign a five-year contract with the Chicago Bears.
