About Brian Gay Memorabilia & Collectibles
Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Brian Gay is a professional golfer. He is presently playing in the PGA Tour. Gay spent his childhood playing in the Fort Rucker golf course. His father was in the US Army and he often played with military retirees at Fort Rucker. He was able to win a number of tournaments as a teenager and was offered as scholarship to the University of Florida.
Gay played for Florida during the NCAA and was an All-American. He was instrumental in the Gators clinching two SEC wins and was able to dominate in the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships in 1993. Gay turned professional in 1994. He was able to participate in the 1999 PGA Tour.
After playing for nearly a year, Gay was able to win his first PGA Tour in 2008 during the Mayakoba Golf Classic at the Riviera Maya-Cancun. His follow up victory for that 2008 competition was in 2009 when he won the Verizon Heritage. During that year, Gay was ranked 13th in the Official World Golf Rankings. Gay picked up the St. Jude’s Classic in June of 2009 allowing him to qualify into that year’s U.S. Open.
