Brett Alexander Wallace was born on August 26, 1986 in Sonoma, California. He plays for the Houston Astros as a first baseman in the Major League Baseball.

Wallace graduated from Justin- Siena High School in 2005 and earned 4 varsity letters for baseball for head coach Allen Rossi. He holds single- season school records for home runs, runs, and hits, among others and led Justin- Siena to a record during his prep career. He was the 2005 California Small Schools Player of the Year and a Collegiate Baseball/ Louisville Slugger All- American. He bagged the 2004- 2005 All- Napa County Offensive Player of the Year and is a four- time All- Marin County Athletic League selection.

He won the Pac- 10 Player of the Year twice and the Triple Crown in Arizona State University three times. The Toronto Jays drafted Wallace in the 42nd round of the 2005 Major League Baseball draft but he did not sign with them. Following a successful collegiate career, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2008 amateur draft. He moved to several teams throughout 2009 and finally on July 2010 was signed by the Houston Astros. He made his MLB debut on July 31, 2010
