Brent Ashton (full name: Brent Ashton; no nicknames) played left wing from 1980 until 1993 for the Vancouver Canucks, Colorado Rockies, New Jersey Devils, Minnesota North Stars, Quebec Nordiques, Detroit Red Wings, Winnipeg Jets, Boston Bruins and Calgary Flames. He played for the Canucks from 1980 - 1981, in 1982, Devils in 1983, North Stars from 1984 - 1985, Nordiques from 1985 - 1987, Red Wings from 1987 - 1988, Jets from 1989 - 1992, Bruins from 1992 - 1993 and Flames in 1993. Over 14 seasons, he played 998 games, scored 284 goals, and made 345 assists. Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on May 18, 1960, Ashton stands 6-1 and weighs 210 lbs. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2nd round (26th overall) of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft.
