Brandon Hunter was born on November 24, 1980 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is a professional basketball player who is listed at 6 ft. 7 in. and weighs 260 lbs. He started his basketball career with the Ohio Bobcats as a power forward. In his senior year with the team, he averaged 21.5 PPG and 12.6 RPG. He recorded 1.2 blocks per game and 0.8 steals. He was an NCAA leader in number of rebounds and was qualified to the 2, 000 points 1,000 rebound record players. He began playing in the National Basketball Association in 2003 after being drafted by the Boston Celtics as a 56th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.
He appeared in 36 games for the Celtics and recorded 3.5 points average and 3.3 rebounds average. In the 2004 National Basketball Association Expansion Draft, he was picked by the Charlotte Bobcats and officially joined the team on June 22, 2004. However, he was not able to play in any game for the team since he was then traded to the Orlando Magic on November 1, 2004. He was traded in exchange for Keith Bogans. While with the Magic, he posted a 3.1 PPG average and 2.2 RPG. He appeared in 31 games for the team. Before the 2005-2006 seasons, he was signed by the Milwaukee Bucks but was not able to play for the team, too. He did the same with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2006.
Currently, Hunter plays in the Israeli Basketball Super League for the team Hapoel Jerusalem B.C.
