His collegiate basketball career was spent in Ball State University where he broke Ron Harper’s record for points made in a game against Northern Illinois in February 1998. He was then drafted by the Detroit Pistons 11th overall in the 1998 NBA Draft but was immediately traded to the Portland Trail Blazers before he even had the chance to play for the Pistons. He improved his defensive skills and set career highs in points during his stay with the Blazers. Because of being involved in several controversies, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies then to the Sacramento Kings. He provided the Kings with great rebounding skills in the early part of the season before entering free agency and eventually signing up with the Houston Rockets. After spending limited game time with the Rockets, he was eventually traded to the New Orleans Hornets. He again entered free agency in 2008 and opted to go for the Chinese Basketball Association before going to the Puerto Rican basketball league.
