Bobo Newsom (full name: Louis Norman Newsom; Buck) played pitcher from 1932 until 1953 for the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Browns, Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, Brooklyn Dodgers, Philadelphia Athletics, New York Yankees and New York Giants. He played for the Cubs in 1932, Browns from 1934 - 1943, Senators from 1935 - 1952, Red Sox in 1937, Tigers from 1939 - 1941, Dodgers from 1942 - 1943, Athletics from 1944 - 1953, Yankees in 1947 and Giants in 1948.
