Widely known as one of the hardest working and most talented hockey player, Bobby Nystrom had played for the New York Islanders. Born in Stockholm, Sweden on October 10, 1952, Nystrom is also called Mr. Islander.
It was in 1973-1974 season when Nystrom played his first full season with the Islanders. It is where he had tailed 41 points when he was a rookie and had amazingly won the Calder Trophy. Nystrom had incredibly collected over 20 goals in every season of his five-season stay with the Islanders. He was chosen to be in the NHL All-Star Game in the year 1977. During the 1980s, Nystrom had become one of the all-time clutch players in the National Hockey League Stanley Cup playoff history where he had powerfully tallied 39 goals and 83 points all in 157 playoff games. It was on May 24, 1980 when he had scored the game winner at 7:11 of overtime during their game in the Stanley Cup finals against the famous Philadelphia Flyers.
