Bob Weiland (full name: Robert George Weiland; Lefty) played pitcher from 1931 until 1940 for the Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Browns and St. Louis Cardinals. He played for the White Sox in 1931, Red Sox from 1932 - 1934, Indians in 1934, Browns in 1935 and Cardinals from 1937 - 1940. Over 12 seasons, he started 179 games, won 62 games, struck out 614 batters, and had a 4.24 ERA. Born on December 14, 1905 in Chicago, IL, Weiland stood 6' 4" and weighed 215 lb. He attended Lane Technical (Chicago, IL) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on September 30, 1928 and he played his final game on April 26, 1940.
