Bob Stinson (full name: Gorrell Robert Stinson; Scrap Iron) played catcher from 1969 until 1980 for the Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Montreal Expos, Kansas City Royals and Seattle Mariners. He played for the Dodgers from 1969 - 1970, Cardinals in 1971, Astros in 1972, Expos from 1973 - 1974, Royals from 1975 - 1976 and Mariners from 1977 - 1980. Over 12 seasons, he played 652 games, hit 33 home runs, drove in 166 runs, and stole 8 bases. Born on October 11, 1945 in Elkin, NC, Stinson stands 5' 11" and weighs 180 lb. He attended Miami (Miami, FL) high school and was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1st round (15th pick) of the 1966 amateur draft (June Secondary).
