Bob Probert, born as Robert Probert on June 5, 1965 was a former professional ice hockey player who started his professional hockey career with the Ontario Hockey League. He also played for the Hamilton Steelhawks and the Sault St. Marie Greyhounds. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 1983 and was selected to be part of the team together with Steve Yzerman and Kocur. He played mostly for the Detroit Red Wings but also appeared for the minor league teams of the organization. He also played in the American Hockey League while he was part of the Red Wings. After his stint with the Red Wings, he played for the Chicago Blackhawks. According to reviews, one of his greatest moments in the national league was when he hit a goal against Maple Leaf Gardens. He had his only appearance in an NHL All-Star game in the 1987-1988 seasons.
He was voted to become part of the Campbell Conference All-Star team and was known to be involved in a few fighting issues against other players in the field. He retired from being a professional hockey player after the 2002-2003 offseason. After retirement, he made several NHL appearances such as the retirement ceremony of a teammate’s jersey.
