Bob Muncrief (full name: Robert Cleveland Muncrief; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1937 until 1951 for the St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees. He played for the Browns from 1937 - 1947, Indians in 1948, Cubs in 1949, Pirates in 1949 and Yankees in 1951. Over 12 seasons, he started 165 games, won 80 games, struck out 525 batters, and had a 3.80 ERA. Born on January 28, 1916 in Madill, OK, Muncrief stood 6' 2" and weighed 190 lb. He attended Byng (Byng, OK) high school. His debut was on September 30, 1937 and he played his final game on April 20, 1951.
