About Bob Lanier:
Bob Lanier (full name: Robert Jerry Lanier Jr.; Bob) played Center from 1971 until 1984 for the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks. Over 14 seasons, he played 959 games, scored 19248 points (20.1 ppg) and grabbed 9698 rebounds (10.1 rpg). Lanier also dished out 3007 assists (3.1 apg), made 777 steals (0.8 spg), and blocked 1100 shots (1.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Buffalo, New York on September 10, 1948, Lanier stands 6-11 and weighs 250 lbs. He attended high school at Bennett in Buffalo, New York and college at St. Bonaventure University. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 1st round (1st pick, 1st overall) of the 1970 NBA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1992.
