Robert Lowell Heise, known as Bob Heise, was born in San Antonio, Texas. He is a former professional baseball player who batted and threw with his right hand. Stands at 6 ft. and 175 lbs., he started playing for the Major Baseball League in 1966. Before playing professional baseball, he attended Vacaville High School in California. He was selected by the New York Mets and had a deal with him as an amateur free agent in 1966. He appeared for the very first time in the Major Baseball League on September 12, 1967 for the New York Mets and stayed with the tem until 1969. He was an integral part of the team during the 1969 World Series. He also played as a utility infielder for several other teams such as the San Francisco Giants from 1970 to 1971, with whom he won the National League Western Division in 1971 and from 1971 to 1973 for the Milwaukee Brewers. Played as a shortstop, second baseman and third baseman, he joined the Boston Red Sox from 1975 to 1976 and won the American League Pennant in 1975. His final team was the Kansa City Royals which he signed in 1977. He helped the team emerge victorious in the American League Western Division in 1977.
He spent eleven seasons in the Major Baseball League and appeared in 499 games with a .247 batting average.
