Bob Dillinger (full name: Robert Bernard Dillinger; Duke) played third baseman from 1946 until 1951 for the St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Athletics, Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox. He played for the Browns from 1946 - 1949, Athletics in 1950, Pirates from 1950 - 1951 and White Sox in 1951. Over 6 seasons, he played 753 games, hit 10 home runs, drove in 401 runs, and stole 106 bases. Born on September 17, 1918 in Glendale, CA, Dillinger stood 5' 11" and weighed 170 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 16, 1946 and he played his final game on September 28, 1951. Over his career, Dillinger made $22,500. Common misspellings of his name include Robert Bernard Bob bobby Duke robert Dillinger.
