About Bob Carpenter:
Bob Carpenter (full name: Bob Carpenter; no nicknames) played center from 1982 until 1999 for the Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils. He played for the Capitals from 1982 - 1993, Rangers in 1987, Kings from 1987 - 1989, Bruins from 1989 - 1992 and Devils from 1994 - 1999. Over 18 seasons, he played 1178 games, scored 320 goals, and made 408 assists. Born in Beverly, Massachusetts on July 13, 1963, Carpenter stands 6-0 and weighs 200 lbs. He was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 1st round (3rd overall) of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Carpenter officially announced retirement on August 16, 1999.
