About Bob Avellini Memorabilia & CollectiblesNational Football League’s quarterback, Bob Avellini was born in New York, New York on August 28, 1953. He was considered as one of the most promising players in the football league even with a short period of playing time. He was popularly tagged by some football fanatics as an outstanding performer on every game he had in the middle 1980s. He had spent his entire career with the Chicago Bears.
Avellini’s professional career started when he was chosen during the NFL Draft in the sixth round. Until then, he had been very courageous enough in giving the Chicago Bears numerous awards. He was best remembered as an outstanding performer on field with his unique skills and techniques.
Unfortunately, Avellini had been charged with a violation. He was caught driving under the influence of alcohol last July 10, 2005. Concerning such case, Avellini had pleaded not guilty. He was already 51 years of age at that time. Bob Avellini had played with the Bears for nine seasons in the year 1975 up to 1984 and was able to set a track record of 33 touchdowns including 69 interceptions as well as completing the 560 pass attempts out of 1, 110.
