About Billy Paultz:
Billy Paultz (full name: William Edward Paultz; Billy, The Whopper) played Center-Forward from 1971 until 1985 for the New York Nets, San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks and Utah Jazz. Over 15 seasons, he played 1124 games, scored 13099 points (11.7 ppg) and grabbed 8959 rebounds (8.0 rpg). Paultz also dished out 2206 assists (2.0 apg), made 455 steals (0.4 spg), and blocked 1457 shots (1.3 bpg) during his career. Born in River Edge, New Jersey on July 30, 1948, Paultz stands 6-11 and weighs 235 lbs. He attended high school at River Dell in River Edge, New Jersey and college at St. John's University. He was drafted by the San Diego Rockets in the 7th round (1st pick, 103rd overall) of the 1970 NBA draft.
