Billy Carroll (full name: Billy Carroll; no nicknames) played center from 1981 until 1987 for the New York Islanders, Edmonton Oilers and Detroit Red Wings. He played for the Islanders from 1981 - 1984, Oilers from 1985 - 1986 and Red Wings from 1986 - 1987. Over 7 seasons, he played 322 games, scored 30 goals, and made 54 assists. Born in Toronto, Ontario on January 19, 1959, Carroll stands 5-10 and weighs 190 lbs. He was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 2nd round (38th overall) of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft.
