Bill Zuber (full name: William Henry Zuber; Goober) played pitcher from 1936 until 1947 for the Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators, New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Indians from 1936 - 1940, Senators from 1941 - 1942, Yankees from 1943 - 1946 and Red Sox from 1946 - 1947. Over 11 seasons, he started 65 games, won 43 games, struck out 383 batters, and had a 4.28 ERA. Born on March 26, 1913 in Middle Amana, IA (All Transactions), Zuber stood 6' 2" and weighed 195 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 16, 1936 and he played his final game on September 23, 1947.
