Bill Wennington is a retired Canadian professional basketball player and is currently serving as radio color commentator for the Bulls. He was born in Montreal, Canada and graduated from Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School in Brookville, New York. He then took his college education at St. John's University in New York City, New York where he also played college basketball at the said university and was able to play on one NCAA Final Four team. Wennington played as center for a few teams in the National Basketball Association; the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and the Chicago Bulls.

 

Wennington stands 7 ft. and weighs 245 lbs. He began his professional basketball career after he was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks during the 1985 NBA draft where he was a first round and sixteenth overall pick of the team. Wennington played his first several seasons with the Mavericks before joining the Sacramento Kings in 1990 and played for two seasons. After his release from the Kings, Wennington spent a few notable years playing for Virtus of the Italian league and became also a member of two Canadian Olympic Basketball Teams in 1984 and 1992 before joining the Chicago Bulls in 1994 where he won three NBA championships with the team. After his retiring in his playing career, Wennington had been inducted into the Canadian Basketball Hall of Fame.

Bill Wennington (full name: William Percey Wennington; Bill) played Center from 1986 until 2000 for the Dallas Mavericks, Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls. Over 13 seasons, he played 720 games, scored 3301 points (4.6 ppg) and grabbed 2148 rebounds (3.0 rpg). Wennington also dished out 440 assists (0.6 apg), made 226 steals (0.3 spg), and blocked 248 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Montreal, Canada on December 26, 1963, Wennington stands 7-0 and weighs 245 lbs. He attended high school at Long Island Lutheran in Brookville, New York and college at St. John's University. He was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the 1st round (16th pick, 16th overall) of the 1985 NBA draft.
