About Bill Shores:

Bill Shores (full name: William David Shores; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1931 until 1936 for the Philadelphia Athletics, New York Giants and Chicago White Sox. He played for the Athletics in 1931, Giants in 1933 and White Sox in 1936. Over 6 seasons, he started 39 games, won 26 games, struck out 129 batters, and had a 4.17 ERA. Born on May 26, 1904 in Abilene, TX (All Transactions), Shores stood 6' 0" and weighed 185 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 11, 1928 and he played his final game on September 20, 1936. Common misspellings of his name include William Bill billy David Will William Shores.
