He played for the Pirates from 1945 - 1947, Braves from 1948 - 1949 and White Sox in 1950. Over 6 seasons, he played 356 games, hit 31 home runs, drove in 111 runs, and stole 6 bases. Born on March 8, 1917 in Pocatello, ID (All Transactions), Salkeld stood 5' 10" and weighed 190 lb. He attended high school.
