Bill Posedel (full name: William John Posedel; Sailor Bill and Barnacle Bill) played pitcher from 1938 until 1946 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Boston Bees and Boston Braves. He played for the Dodgers in 1938, Bees from 1939 - 1940 and Braves from 1941 - 1946. Over 5 seasons, he started 87 games, won 41 games, struck out 227 batters, and had a 4.56 ERA. Born on August 2, 1906 in San Francisco, CA (All Transactions), Posedel stood 5' 11" and weighed 175 lb. He attended high school.
