Bill North (full name: William Alex North; no nicknames) played centerfielder from 1971 until 1981 for the Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants. He played for the Cubs from 1971 - 1972, Athletics from 1973 - 1978, Dodgers in 1978 and Giants from 1979 - 1981.
