About Bill Melchionni:

Bill Melchionni (full name: William P. Melchionni; Bill) played Guard from 1967 until 1976 for the Philadelphia 76ers and New York Nets. Over 9 seasons, he played 646 games, scored 6870 points (10.6 ppg) and grabbed 1284 rebounds (2.0 rpg). Melchionni also dished out 3247 assists (5.0 apg), made 172 steals (0.3 spg), and blocked 20 shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on October 19, 1944, Melchionni stands 6-1 and weighs 165 lbs. He attended high school at Bishop in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and college at Villanova University. He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2nd round (9th pick, 19th overall) of the 1966 NBA draft.
