Bill Knickerbocker (full name: William Hart Knickerbocker; no nicknames) played shortstop and second baseman from 1933 until 1942 for the Cleveland Indians, St. Louis Browns, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Athletics. He played for the Indians from 1933 - 1936, Browns in 1937, Yankees from 1938 - 1940, White Sox in 1941 and Athletics in 1942. Over 10 seasons, he played 907 games, hit 28 home runs, drove in 423 runs, and stole 25 bases. Born on December 29, 1911 in Los Angeles, CA, Knickerbocker stood 5' 11" and weighed 170 lb. He attended Roosevelt (Los Angeles, CA) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 12, 1933 and he played his final game on September 17, 1942.
