He played for the Cardinals from 1949 - 1951, Pirates from 1951 - 1952 and Giants in 1952. Over 4 seasons, he played 247 games, hit 22 home runs, drove in 95 runs, and stole 1 bases. Born on December 12, 1921 in Lompoc, CA, Howerton stood 5' 11" and weighed 185 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 11, 1949 and he played his final game on June 29, 1952.
