Bill Houlder (full name: Bill Houlder; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1988 until 2003 for the Washington Capitals, Buffalo Sabres, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators. He played for the Capitals from 1988 - 1990, Sabres from 1991 - 1993, Mighty Ducks in 1994, Blues in 1995, Lightning from 1996 - 2000, Sharks from 1998 - 1999 and Predators from 2000 - 2003. Over 16 seasons, he played 846 games, scored 59 goals, and made 191 assists. Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on March 11, 1967, Houlder stands 6-2 and weighs 217 lbs. He was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 4th round (82nd overall) of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft.
