About Bill Haselman Memorabilia & Collectibles

 William Joseph Haselman, known as Bill Haselman, was born on May 25, 1966 in Long Branch, New Jersey. He is a retired Major Baseball League played who played as a quarterback for the NCAA Division I while he was in University of California, Los Angeles. Before being a famous football and baseball player in UCLA, he attended high school at Saratoga High School in California.

 

He played his first game in the Major Baseball League on September 3, 1990 for the Texas Rangers. Aside from the Rangers, he also played for the Seattle Mariners, the Detroit Tigers and the Boston Red Sox. Reviews say his most excellent season was in 1996 when he managed to have a batting average of .274 and earn eight home runs with 34 runs batted in. He also did well in 1998 with .314 batting average and 6 home runs. He was instrumental for the Boston Red Sox win in the 1995 Eastern Division game where he hit for Mike Macfarlane. In his entire career, he made 47 home runs and 210 runs batted in with a batting average of .259.

 

He was the Boston Red Sox’ first base coach in 2004 and the team’s bullpen coach in 2005. In 2010, he managed the Bakersfield Blaze, a Class A team of the Texas Rangers which is part of the California League.

He played for the Rangers from 1990 - 2002, Mariners from 1992 - 1994, Red Sox from 1995 - 2003 and Tigers in 1999. Over 13 seasons, he played 589 games, hit 47 home runs, drove in 185 runs, and stole 9 bases. Born on May 25, 1966 in Long Branch, NJ, Haselman stands 6' 3" and weighs 205 lb. He attended high school and was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 1st round (23rd pick) of the 1987 amateur draft. His debut was on September 3, 1990 and he played his final game on September 27, 2003. Over his career, Haselman made $5,641,500. Common misspellings of his name include William Bill billy Joseph Will William Haselman hasselman.
