William Robert Guerin, born on November 9, 1970, is a National Hockey League player for the team Pittsburgh Penguins. Born in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, USA, he is considered as the first Latino to play in the National Hockey League. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. he shoots with the right hand and positions in the right wing.
He became part of several other teams like the Edmonton Oilers and the Dallas Stars. He is a two-time Stanley Cup winner and a silver medalist in the 2002 Winter Olympics. He also bagged the 1996 World Cup and was hailed as the Most Valuable Player of the All-Star game in 2001.
Other recognitions he received are the 2002 silver medal in the Winter Olympics and the Primus World Stars Challenge Bowl. He was included to the All-Star team in 2002 to 2004 seasons and for another season in 2006-2007.
According to sources, he also played for the Boston Bruins, the St. Louis Blues, the New York Islanders and the San Jose Sharks. On March 4, 2009, he was traded to his current team, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Reviews say he is the only player who played for seven different teams in 20 seasons.
