Bernabé Figueroa Williams is a retired outfielder in the Major League Baseball. He is from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Aside from baseball, he also played the guitar and track and field.

Williams was signed by the New York Yankees on September 1985 and played for their AA affiliate in Albany where he continued to develop his skills. However, he did not make it to the majors quickly because of the solid lineup that the Yankees had back then. He made his debut in MLB on July 7, 1991 in a Yankees game against the Baltimore Orioles. By 1993, he was already the regular center fielder. He continued to improve during the following years and even led the Yankees against the Seattle Mariners. In 1996, Williams was crucial to the Yankees’ win against the defending champions, the Atlanta Braves. He won the Gold Glove award in 1998 and helped the Yankees make the playoffs every year he was playing for them. In 2006, he played for the Puerto Rican team in the 2006 MLB World Baseball Classic. After 2 years of being inactive, Williams played for the Gigantes de Carolina of the Puerto Rico Baseball League. His last game in the MLB was on October 2006 and he then played in the MLB World Baseball Classic in 2009. In totality, Williams has a .297 batting average, and records 287 home runs and 1, 257 runs batted in.
