Benny Ayala (full name: Benigno (Felix) Ayala; no nicknames) played pinch hitter and leftfielder from 1974 until 1985 for the New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Mets from 1974 - 1976, Cardinals in 1977, Orioles from 1979 - 1984 and Indians in 1985. Over 10 seasons, he played 425 games, hit 38 home runs, drove in 114 runs, and stole 2 bases. Born on February 7, 1951 in Yauco, P.R., Ayala stands 6' 1" and weighs 185 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on August 27, 1974 and he played his final game on October 2, 1985.
